I am a historian of early modern religion and print culture and am the author of The pastor in print: Genre, audience, and religious change in early modern England (Manchester University Press, forthcoming).  I have recently published two articles on theological/ecclesiastical responses to demon possession and witchcraft.  My current research includes a study of how Bible concordances influenced lay reading practices in the Tudor and early Stuart periods, and a study related to church covenanting in 1630s New England.
