I am an anthropological archaeologist whose broad interests include the manufacture and utilization of stone tools in prehistoric societies. I am most interested in micro-archaeological methods (including usewear and microdebitage analyses) for studying patterns of prehistoric stone tool production, utilization, and exchange and how these patterns both affected and were affected by the social, economic, and political spheres of ancient society. My doctoral research uses micro-archaeological methods to better understand the social, economic, and domestic relationships within and between Maya commoner households.
