Rudraprasad Bhattacharyya

I received PhD in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. My broad research areas are Structural Mechanics (which includes Computational mechanics, multiscale modeling) and Uncertainty Quantification. My PhD research was on development of constitutive model for multiscale modeling of advanced fiber composites in presence of uncertainty.

I have done my undergraduate with a major in Civil Engineering in 2006 from Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur (India) and completed my Master of Science (major in Structural Mechanics) in 2012 from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

My professional involvement circumvents in the technical as well as leadership ability in reputable societies like American Society of Civil Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers and Institution of Structural Engineers for promotion of Structural Engineering. I am a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. I am also a Professional Engineer (Civil division) of the Institution of Engineers (India). I am also a certified Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
