DELAYED: IPS Blocking Policy

The IPS blocking policy scheduled to be deployed on January 15, 2014 has been delayed to January 21, 2014. On Wednesday January 21, 2014 at 5:00 PM VUIT will deploy a new blocking policy on the Vanderbilt University Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). The purpose of this change is to apply an IPS policy that will block inbound traffic that is deemed malicious. Due to the high availability configuration of the service, no outage is expected for users. This change will apply to Vanderbilt University network only. The VUMC network has already enabled this policy.
