Change to VUMC VPN Tunnels

Posted by on Friday, March 14, 2014 in News.

On Saturday, March 23, 2014, beginning at 9:00 PM Vanderbilt University Information Technology (VUIT) will move the Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) in the network infrastructure.  This change will cause an outage to services that cross the VU to VUMC network, such as email, from 12:00 to 12:15 AM.  This will not affect the majority of patient care systems within the VUMC network.

This change will have two phases, which allows for testing to occur after each phase has been completed.  The first testing session will begin at 1:15 AM on March 24, 2014 the second will begin at 3:00 AM on March 24, 2014.  If you would like to join either testing session, please send an email to: vuit.network.security@vanderbilt.edu.  The below list of VPN tunnels will be impacted by this change.  All impacted VPN tunnel owners are encouraged to join the testing sessions in order to ensure functionality.
