VUIT Scheduled Migration: EPI (Enterprise Person Index) to Weblogic

Vanderbilt IT will begin migrating Enterprise Person Index (EPI) to WebLogic on Thursday, July 30 from 6 to 11 a.m. A pause of HR and student updates into the identity environment will last from approximately 6 to 9 a.m. Updates will be queued and should be reflected in EPI by around 9:30 a.m. Applications that use database views or web services to receive EPI data should not be impacted.

This change will result in the migration of a key part of the identity infrastructure to a more secure, supportable and maintainable environment. This migration will also enable the addition of new traits representing a VUnetID’s affiliation (university or medical center).
