Our senior design team is called “Aggregation Domination” and consists of Kelly Hainline, Kevin Humphrey, Morgan Satterlee, and Cortnee Weinrich. The four members are all senior biomedical engineering students at Vanderbilt University with varying interests in the biotech world, stretching from pharmaceuticals to management.<\/p>\n
Kelly Hainline is a senior from Alamogordo, New Mexico majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in materials science and engineering. She is currently applying to graduate programs and plans on pursuing a PhD in bioengineering. Her past experiences include a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the University of Houston focusing on the acute toxicity of graphene on microbial communities in sludge, and a research internship at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering where she worked on gene transcript detection and quantification in effluent from organ chips. <\/p>\n

Kevin Humphrey is a senior from Albuquerque, NM double majoring in biomedical and electrical engineering with a minor in engineering management.\u00a0 He is planning on working in industry for a few years and then working towards an MBA.\u00a0 His past experiences includes research on neurite growth at the National Institutes of Health and a drug delivery platform at the University of New Mexico.\u00a0 Additionally, he works at the Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization .<\/p>\n
Morgan Satterlee is a senior from Kansas City, KS majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in engineering management. She aspires to work in the orthopedic implant industry working first in quality engineering and later move into management. Her past experiences includes research at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research and consulting at Cerner Corporation.<\/p>\n
Cortnee Weinrich is a senior from Midland Park, New Jersey majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience, with a minor in Corporate Strategy. \u00a0She is interested in pursuing a career in pharmaceutical development or prosthetic design. \u00a0Her past experiences include quality engineering at Precision Manufacturing Group LLC and autism research at the Vanderbilt Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
