The dorm I live in is The Crawford House on Commons; which seems to be a pleasant place to live as well as one of the best dorms on Commons in my opinion. When I first entered Crawford coming from Towers (why were you intially in Towers?) I was amazed by the how much different things were. I wasn’t expecting much of a difference from Towers because initially I’ve never seen The Crawford Dorm and didn’t have much of an imagine of what it would look like, but as I entered the dorm and my room I realize this is a much more comfortable place to be. We have a dorm “parent” or you could say the one that watches over us she made this place seem even more like home by engaging everyone with each other. The community is a great place as they set up different areas for different people that like do things for themselves and on their own. Run on: One place I felt was pretty cool was the piano room; which is a room that you let yourself into at anytime just to maybe play the piano (do you play piano?) or maybe even you just want to be to yourself and maybe have that area to yourself that maybe you felt like you needed for that day. For some being alone and just gathering your thoughts or getting work done is a feeling at home that most people typically take pride in; which is why I thought this was a homelike area for some students. The spatial structure of the dorm is very well placed as I feel like I have my own sort of area to myself in some aspects of the rooms. The rooms are pretty big holding only two students, but it gives you a lot space in between you and your roommate to do whatever each one pleases without being bothered by each other. Another thing that I love about the dorm is each floor has an own study area just in case you don’t want to be in the room all day doing homework it gives you the option to be out and to communicate or be with friends even if the meeting of you guys isn’t intentional. The thing about these study areas is each one is set up as if you’re entering your living room at home they have couches, chairs, tables, as well as a huge window to look outside and see everything dorm that is around yours as well as seeing many different people maybe even friends walking around. The most home like area to me is of course my room because that’s somewhere you have to make feel like home before anything else, being that is the place you are majority of your time but I can also say the way the entire dorm is set up with study areas, laundry rooms, and the spatiality of each room as well inside them gives you the feeling that you are home and space can be created anywhere for you to do things you want to do on your own.
The bold face is to draw your attention to either grammatical problems or to ask you to expand. I’ll email you with some more substantive suggestions for revising. See if you create separate paragraphs rather than having a single block of text. Add some photos, too.
