Calculating the Observed Altitude will be the focus of this video. Altitude Correction, used to compensate for the refraction of the atmosphere, is found in the front cover of The Nautical Almanac. This is added to Additional Corrections (which are beyond the scope of this course but will be covered in Supplemental). All corrections are then added to the Apparent Altitude to get the Observed Altitude.
