Choosing a Celestial Body
Choosing a celestial body for an observation (called a “sight”) will be the focus of this video. For the scope of this course, we will restrict ourselves to the Sun. Other celestial bodies will be covered in the Supplemental area of this website. To further simplify our measurements, we will use observations of a celestial body located between 10 to 75 degrees above the horizon to avoid errors and additional corrections.
