Joe will always be remembered through the Tennessee Athletic Trainer’s Society through the Joe Worden Tennessee Athletic Trainer’s Society Clinical Industrial Athletic Training Award. The Middle Tennessee Chapter of the National Football Foundation honors his memory with the Joe L. Worden Courage Award. He will always be remembered at Vanderbilt by the Joe L. Worden Athletic Training Room in Memorial Gymnasium, serving Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
Treatment and Taping Area
The new Worden Athletic Training Room is much more open than the previous athletic training room in Memorial Gymnasium. The strategic layout will allow for more rehabilitation and treatment to take place at the gymnasium as the training room is equipped with top of the line rehabilitation equipment and therapeutic modalities.
