An adxl 377 accelerometer is implemented to gather the acceleration experienced by the officer within a range of +-200 g. The overall acceleration and orientation of the officer will be determined from this sensor.

We have successfully integrated the accelerometer into our pouch system. The accelerometer accurately reads officer orientation and acceleration. The images shown below depict the sensor itself and the acceleration (left) and orientation (right) data under different physiologic conditions.
