Welcome!

This page provides information regarding methods of promoting language in Deaf preschoolers. Please note that my use of “Deaf” refers to children diagnosed as Deaf as well as Hard of Hearing (or anywhere in-between). Use this page as a guide in deciding the common approach(es) you make take in ensuring quality language development in your child, student, or patient.

The majority of this information is based on my own experience growing up as hearing-impaired as well as my experience in the workings of Deaf Education preschool and the accompanying technology. Unless otherwise noted, “student” or “child” refers to a child at the preschool age.
