About Us!

We are senior biomedical engineers at Vanderbilt University dedicated to quantifying blood loss during vaginal birth. In the United States, maternal morbidity during childbirth is an ever-present problem. A key contributing factor to this is the large amounts of blood lost during birth. While this is a pressing issue, currently, no solution exists to accurately quantify the blood lost. We aim to create a contraption that does just that.
