Brian Williamson is an internationally acclaimed, award winning and multi award nominee in the discipline of strategic portfolio, program, and project management. An executive with over 22 years of experience managing and implementing large-scale enterprise software applications, he has extensive experience in the microverticals of financial management, supply chain management, and human capital management spanning several industry verticals.  He is an expert at business analysis, strategic planning, leading transformational change, and helping organizations align their portfolios to their mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

Brian is among the few people globally to hold all the renewable certifications from the Project Management Institute; is the 2018 recipient of the prestigious PMI Eric Jenett Project Management Award of Excellence; is a Fellow with the Association for Project Management; and holds the designation of ITIL® Expert in IT Service Management from Axelos. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and has received extensive training in Six Sigma. Brian holds two Masters Degrees from Polytechnic University, New York: Management of Technology (MoT) and Information Systems Engineering (ISE); a Bachelor of Science Degree from Teikyo-Post University in Waterbury CT; and an Associate Degree in Specialized Business from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Brian is presently pursuing his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University.

In addition to his role as the Executive Director – Project Management Office at Avaap; he serves on graduate advisory boards at Post University, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University; he is a published author with the Taylor and Francis Group; and teaches Portfolio Management (PfMP)® and Program Management (PgMP)® certification classes for the PMO Advisory.

As a consultant, trainer, coach, and published author, Brian has mentored many industry professionals using his own material and methodology aligned to ISO Standards across the continuum of Portfolio, Program, Project, and Requirements Management.
