Kayla Hess

Kayla graduated from Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in chemistry and a minor in history. While at Etown, she worked in the Kneas and Rood groups with a focus on developing luminescent metal-organic frameworks. She synthesized novel osmium transition metal complexes and incorporated them into metal-organic frameworks for oxygen and polarity sensing. Outside of lab, Kayla enjoys reading, traveling, and dancing.
