These constraints\u00a0are listed below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Affordability &#8211; a unit price of under $40 per sensor node has been established by obtaining sensor prices from bulk retailers Alibaba and Aliexpress<\/li>\n<li>Easy Installation and Maintenance &#8211; the device should be easy to install and maintain<\/li>\n<li>Easily Replicable &#8211; the device should have the ability to be mass produced<\/li>\n<li>Ethically Responsible\u00a0&#8211; the device should track humans in a way that doesn&#8217;t\u00a0make them uncomfortable or infringes upon their freedom<\/li>\n<li>Minimally Invasive &#8211; the device should not intrude on the environment or wildlife<\/li>\n<li>Safety &#8211; the device should not cause harm to wildlife or humans in contact with it<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability &#8211; the device must leave the lowest carbon footprint possible<\/li>\n<li>Weather &#8211;\u00a0the device should be durable enough to withstand harsh weather and remain in the elements for an extended period of time<\/li>\n<li>Working Sensor &#8211; the sensor must reliably analyze environmental data and human detection data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Design Constraints When it came to designing the device, the team had to work within numerous design constraints.
