Volunteer Experience: 

• Plant farm volunteer: helped planting flowers, moving plants, and picking up trash.
• Vanderbilt Gaming Event: volunteer to help set up the food table, commentate the gaming, and assist with breakdown of equipment.
• Technology Club: volunteer to explain to high-schoolers in the local area about technology, answer questions, etc.
• Thrift Store: volunteer moving furniture, assisting where needed
• MTAC convention: volunteer to unload equipment, take equipment where it was needed, and re-load equipment once convention was over.

Additional Experience:

• Speaker at Cora Howe School; panel for junior/senior students
• SEPSI Memphis Conference Speaker; panel with Next Steps staff and students to explain what Next Steps is and the mission
• Vanderbilt University Classroom Speaker; panel to talk about Next Steps and personal experiences

Career Exploration:

•      Job Shadowing: In the Fall 2016 semester I got to explore different career areas through job rotations including Plant Operations, Owen Graduate School of Management, Susan Gray School, Hill IT Center, Vanderbilt Police Department, and more!
• Industry tours: We also had the opportunity to explore larger businesses including the Nissan factory, Holiday Inn, and a local bank.
