Aung Soe Lin received his undergraduate degree from Berea College in 2014 with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Sai is a graduate student in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He joined the Cover Lab in 2016, and his research focuses on analyzing the interaction networks required for assembly of the inner membrane complex of the H. pylori cag Type IV Secretion System (cag T4SS). He also studies functional properties of the cag T4SS ATPases that are predicted to power translocation of the effector protein CagA. In his free time, Sai likes to hike, watch movies, cook out with friends and travel around the world (only if money allows :)).
