Rhonda Caston graduated from Emory University with dual degrees in Biology and Classical Civilizations in 2014. After completing her undergraduate studies, she joined the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program at Vanderbilt. In 2015, Rhonda joined the Cover Lab where she studies vacuolating cytotoxin A, a virulence factor secreted by H. pylori. She aims to understand differences in functional properties of VacA variants and how the environment impacts VacA secretion. Outside of lab, Rhonda enjoys weight lifting and baking.
