Welcome to the homepage for Crucial Conversations. Our mission is to shape Peabody into a place for open dialogue and respectful discussion about race, culture, and the identity of every person as a valued member of our scholarly community.

Our work is motivated by the experiences of students and faculty across Peabody’s campus, and we are driven by the belief that if we learn to communicate, we can learn to respect each other not in spite of our differences, but because of them.

Our work is distributed across campus stakeholders, and we are supported by the Peabody Graduate Student Association, the Peabody Coalition of Black Graduates, Common Ground, Peabody Queering and Embracing Diversity, and the Peabody Jewish Association. Fresh perspectives and voices are always welcome. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or comments.
