You can find your groups on Blackboard.
There are 11 groups of 4 students each (with one exception).
As I recall, there are 5 rows of tables in ESB 048. When you arrive at class this morning, go to the location for your group, as given below:
- Group 1: Row 1 (front row), left side (as you face the front)
- Group 2: Row 1, right side
- Group 3: Row 2, left side
- Group 4: Row 2, right side
- Group 5: Row 3, left side
- Group 6, Row 3, right side
- Group 7, Row 4, left side
- Group 8, Row 4, right side
- Group 9, Row 5, left side
- Group 10, Row 5, right side
- Group 11, Row 5, middle
You can stay there as a group (probably best if you have someone who isn’t there, but who may be there), but you can relocate somewhere else nearby too.
Your goals for today are as follows:
- Start by introducing yourselves.
- Look under Project tab of the course site: https://my.vanderbilt.edu/cs265/projects/, and read the Week 6 (next week) project focus on functional specification. I will post the precise deliverable that is due next Friday (Feb 17) for discussion on Tuesday.
- Share the topic(s) you submitted on Blackboard last week with one another as a starting point for converging on a project specification.
- Share schedules and make plans to meet — you will have a deliverable as a group on Feb 17.
- I will Zoom in about 8:45 am your time, but you can join the meeting (say one group member with a laptop, but more than one is fine, and if you are on travel like me or you simply ran late to class, then Zoom in separately) (Join URL:https://zoom.us/j/610669130).
I will take roll today, at least as best I can.
