Research and Dissertation
The dissertation research concerns the thought (i.e., la pensée, but: Was heißt Denken?) of Stéphane Mallarmé and Martin Heidegger on the phenomena of space and language. This thesis concentrates itself on the later texts of Mallarmé (Igitur, 1869~. & Un coup de dés, 1897), and later texts of Heidegger (Bauen Wohnen Denken, 1951, & Die Kunst und der Raum, 1969). Questions regarding the nature of reading, recognition, interpretation, as well as the ethical question of action are subjacent. (Written in French, 269 pages). Advisers: Prof. Nathalie Debrauwere-Miller, Prof. Robert F. Barsky, Prof. David Wood, & Prof. Marc Froment-Meurice (Dir).
