David F. Penson, MD, MPH, <\/strong>is the Paul V. Hamilton, M.D. and Virginia E. Howd Chair in Urologic Oncology and Professor of Urologic Surgery and Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dr. Penson is the director of the Center for Surgical Quality and Outcomes Research <\/a>in the Vanderbilt Institute for Medicine and Public Health <\/a>and\u00a0maintains a keen interest in health policy and improving the quality of care in the U.S.\u00a0 Dr. Penson’s primary research interest\u00a0is in\u00a0population-based cohorts and assessing patient-reported outcomes in conditions treated with surgical procedures, specifically prostate cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dr. Penson maintains a clinical practice in the Department of Urologic Surgery\u00a0<\/a>at The Vanderbilt Clinic (TVC) and maintains a faculty appointment\u00a0in the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center<\/a>\u00a0(VICC).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
