Progress Report 2 11/9/17
Progress Report #2 (11/7/17)
Since our last meeting with Dr. Froehler, we continued our search for appropriate parts for our prototype. Orders were sent to the Biomedical Engineering Department, and the parts were approved for delivery.
Additionally, we began preparing for the next big picture steps of our project. We set up a Gantt Chart to visualize the dates by which we would need to complete certain tasks, such as creating our first prototype, improving efficacy of our model, and running various experiments. By following this timeline, we will improve our efficiency in creating a more viable model for direct aspiration thrombectomies.
We have also scheduled our oral presentation for Thursday 11/16 at 2:45 pm, and have begun preparing for this presentation. Components of the presentation include what problems we hope to tackle with our design, as well as initial steps we have taken to create a prototype. Through this process, we hope to gain feedback on next steps to take in the development of our device and use that feedback to improve the model we create.
