Scan the course schedule (towards the end of the Syllabus) and the resources/partner organizations that are listed after the schedule. Submit a single PDF to Brightspace that answers the following questions and is formatted as follows:
- At the top, give your submission a title, and list your name
- Repeat each question in the submission, followed by your answer to each question
- One-inch margins all the way around
- 14 pt Garamond font
- 1.15 line spacing
- No page limit, but a single page seems adequate, but don’t let that stop you
- What sustainability areas are of most interest to you, from among those listed on the Syllabus, lecture slides, or areas not listed, particularly as a basis for your team project for this course? Please give reasons for each choice. List three or more, ranked.
- What computing areas are of most interest to you, from among those listed on the Syllabus, lecture slides, or areas not listed, particularly as a basis for your team project for this course? Please give reasons for each choice. List three or more, ranked.
- Describe why you are taking this class.
For question 3, you can assume that the instructor knows that one dominant reason among undergrads may be to satisfy the CS project course requirement, and additionally knows that a reason of some will be that they didn’t satisfy the prereqs of other project courses, since this one was deliberately designed to avoid non-CS prerequisites. You can certainly address these reasons, but address others too, as they are relevant. Don’t be afraid to elaborate within reason.
