Grading will be based on 3 factors:

• Pre-class preparation, attendance and in-class participation: 30%
• Post-Class deliverables: 30%
• Project: 40%

Pre-class preparation will typically be a reading or video, and submission of questions and comments that will help drive the discussion for the upcoming class meeting.

Our class depends heavily on in-class discussion. Attendance is required, and missing a class without prior approval will lead to a disproportionate deduction from the attendance and in-class participation grade.

Post-class deliverables will typically be a blog post on a topic addressed during the week, or a related topic. Blog posts, on the order of 300 words, are expected to discuss and cite sources that the student has identified.

The project is of a student’s design, with feedback from the instructors.
