Progress Report #1

After some confusion regarding our project scope, our team and advisor are finally on the same page. Having this clarification, we are now ready to hit the ground running with this project. With the help of Professor Lowery we have acquired a power car from Ms. Teresa Plummer from Belmont University’s Physical Therapy school. This car will be our base model for the modular car idea we will be working on for the rest of the project duration. On Friday 11/4/16 we met with two patients at One Hundred Oaks Pediatric Rehabilitation Center. The data we collected from them in addition to the two previous children we met with will be used for Professor Lowery’s Biomaterial Manipulation class in the Spring so that we can get modified power cars to them. Our team will also be using this data in addition to future observations we will be conducting to find the most common necessary car modification and implement the needs into our final product.
