Merit Aid at Peabody College

Every student who submits an application to Peabody College is considered for merit based aid. There is not a separate application for college aid. Specific endowment awards do require a separate application. Please refer to the Endowed Awards page to determine if you are eligible for any of these awards and to view application requirements for them. Information on the main merit-based awards available for professional students is below.

  • Peabody Honors Scholarship
    • This is the most competitive and prestigious award a student can receive from Peabody College. Very few students are nominated for this distinguished scholarship. This award covers 66% tuition for up to three years. There is a cohort of Peabody Honor Scholars in each incoming class. These students enjoy specialized lectures and social events with faculty and academic Deans. This scholarship begins the first semester in which a student enrolls and expires three years after matriculation. A recipient must be enrolled as a full – time student for each semester unless it is his/her final semester. Additionally, a student must maintain a minimum 3.75 GPA in all coursework to retain the scholarship.
  • Dean’s Tuition Scholarship
    • This scholarship recognizes high-achieving students who will greatly contribute to their program of study. This award covers 33% tuition for up to three years. No minimum enrollment is required; however, since there is a time limitation, students will want to complete their program of study before the three year award expires. Continuous enrollment and good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA) are required for annual renewal of this award.
  • Dean’s Endowed and Special Award Funds
    • These funds are awarded based on demonstrated special circumstances or eligibility. To see if you qualify for any of the Dean’s endowed awards, click here for the list of descriptions and application details.
