About Me:

I am a PhD Candidate in the Mathematics Department at Vanderbilt University, working under Professor Stephen Simpson, studying hyperarithmetical theory and algorithmic randomness in the context of Muchnik degrees. I also work in MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Supercomputing Center under Dr Jeremy Kepner, studying the theory of associative arrays and their applications to scientific computing, machine learning, and database theory.

My principal research interests are in mathematical logic as well as applying pure mathematical tools to traditionally ‘applied’ fields, particularly in computer science.

In the summer of 2018, MIT Press published Dr Jeremy Kepner and I’s book, Mathematics of Big Data: Spreadsheets, Databases, Matrices, and Graphs.
