Hidden Dores is a student led movement, aiming to pave the way for constructive, honest discussion about minority experiences on the campus of Vanderbilt University. We exist to act as a microphone and a listening ear for the silent sufferers of modern day bigotry. We invite all to join us as we explore the concept of race, gender, and sexuality, and their implications, and as we seek to build a more cohesive, inclusive community here in Nashville by fostering awareness and thoughtfulness about the experiences of students of marginalized identities. Along with generating culturally challenging discourse, we work actively to provoke institutional transformation that will address persistent disparities that have a disproportionately negative impact on minorities. Through both education and advocacy, we will change campus culture around matters of inclusion and diversity.
