Names, Identity, and Self Perception at Conexion Americas

Layla   wanted to understand how employees’ bicultural and bilingual background played out in their work at Conexión. Since the beginning of her internship, the topic of staff names and their pronunciation was brought up continually. As a way of exploring more of the immigration conversation and how that applies to her work at a Latino-serving non-profit, she created a podcast that begins with the question of what a name can mean to people in the workplace:

wanted to research how to finance a business; specifically, how to identify alternative sources of capital and grants available to entrepreneurs around Tennessee. He created a blog recounting his internship experiences related to financing a business, as well as by briefly going through the process of financing his own hypothetical restaurant in Tennessee.

Migrant Children Integration into Charter School

Aidan Mulligan conducted a qualitative analysis on the process by which
migrant children from various ethnic backgrounds are integrated into the 5-8th grade Cameron College Preparatory School (CCP) located in Southeastern Nashville. He wrote a research paper detailing his findings:
