To complement our research activities, we have begun a number of educational initiatives for members of the Vanderbilt community. Our most popular course, iGEM 101, is a semester-long course in introductory lab techniques and concepts in synthetic biology. In addition, we offer several upper-level courses for topics ranging from more advanced lab techniques to project design. Our graduates have gone on to accept research positions at many labs on campus, and many of them have joined as full members of the iGEM lab.
