Katie (Gandy) Butler is currently teaching French 102 during the fall semester at Vanderbilt.  She just returned from teaching English grammar and conversation to first-year students at Université Lumière Lyon 2 (Bron campus).  She has earned her MA in French Literature from the Department of French and Italian at Vanderbilt University.

Butler’s research interests are in the field of Second Language Acquisition.  As a PhD candidate, she has started to research the relationship between language learning and community building.

Her office is on the third floor of Buttrick Hall (Carrel #323).  Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9-10am.  You can schedule an appointment by clicking here.
