{"id":87,"date":"2016-08-16T14:41:44","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T19:41:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/my.vanderbilt.edu\/johnsloop\/?p=87"},"modified":"2016-08-16T14:41:44","modified_gmt":"2016-08-16T19:41:44","slug":"educational-technology-resource-finder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/my.vanderbilt.edu\/johnsloop\/2016\/08\/educational-technology-resource-finder\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Technology Resource Finder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings!<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the last academic year, I asked <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/vidl\/about\/staff.php\">Ole Molvig<\/a> to work with the students in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/vidl\/support\/grad-fellowship-program.php\">Graduate Fellows Program<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/vidl\/\">Vanderbilt Institute for Digital Learning<\/a> to develop a web resource that would help faculty and students at Vanderbilt find their way around the dizzying array of educational technology resources.<\/p>\n<p>For example, I imagined a faculty member sitting in her office one day, thinking about integrating podcasts into her teaching.\u00a0 If she did not know who to turn to on campus, I feared, she may drop the idea altogether and an innovative plan might be lost.\u00a0 The website was meant to have her ask, &#8220;I want to learn podcasting.\u00a0 Who can help me with this?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The website the group created, I think, works perfectly to provide such a resource.\u00a0 Simply named the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/edtechfinder\/\">Ed Tech Resource Finder<\/a>, the page can get to almost every resource on campus with just a few simple clicks.<\/p>\n<p>I like what the group has created, and I hope you find it useful as well.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks,<\/p>\n<p>jms<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings!
