This video presentation discusses how theory and practice for L2 Writing Instruction in China is developed in an unbalanced manner. While L2 writing research explores the most recent developments and treats EFL learners’ writing as a process of development, general teaching practice is still in post-behaviorism, obsessed with flaws, errors and problems. This webinar aims to raise awareness for such divergence of SLA theories and L2 teaching practice, and recommend the integration of theories and practice in Chinese EFL writing instruction.
