The Mellon Partners for Humanities Education program aims to further humanities education and research at five colleges and universities in the southeast. Generously funded by a grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, the program encourages shared resources and collaboration between:

The partnership provides fellowships for faculty development that prepare early-career educators from Vanderbilt to meet the needs of diverse institutions and the students they serve through enhancing humanities education and expanding undergraduate course offerings at the partner institutions. In addition, the program offers grant opportunities to encourage research and teaching collaborations between educators at the partner schools, and, together with Vanderbilt’s Center for Digital Humanities, offers opportunities for professional development and digital humanities skill-building.
