MNPS Early Learning Centers
The Early Learning Centers are public schools that serve only Pre-K children. These centers opened for in the 2014-15 school year with a dual-purpose of both increasing the number of children served by Pre-K programs in Nashville, and also improving and enhancing the educational experiences of children in Pre-K. With the Peabody Research Institute as their partner, the ELCs spent four years working toward a data‐driven process by which potential markers of classroom quality could be linked to better child outcomes and incorporated into a model program.
