What is PAAS?
PAAS is a six-week program developed for specifically for African American families and their pre-teens. PAAS has separate sessions for parents, youth, and families.
PAAS Themes Include (but are not limited to):
♦ Managing changes and stress in families that occur as pre-teens get older;
♦ Supporting and directing pre-teens’ passions and goals;
♦ Refining and discussing family values and expectations;
♦ Helping pre-teens with peer pressure;
♦ Encouraging pre-teens to do well in school;
♦ Encouraging pre-teens to stay out of trouble and make good decisions;
