Welcome to the personal website of Bishal Paudel. I’m a Systems Biologist with keen interests in understanding complex biological issues.

BishalI grew up in Pragatinagar, Nawalparasi and then went on to pursue my remaining two years of high school at a private boarding high school in Kathmandu, Capital College and Research Center (CCRC). It was at CCRC that my interest at the interface of Biological and Quantitative Sciences took an initial form. I never thought I would go abroad for studies. With deep interest in liberal arts education, I set out on a journey to the United States in 2007. I then graduated with a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics-Physics with a minor in Human Biology from College of Idaho, a small liberal arts college in the heart of Idaho in 2011. Research experiences in laboratories of Dr. Sara Heggland and Dr. Uma Sankar inspired me to pursue my doctorate in Chemical and Physical Biology (CPB) at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Recently, I defended my dissertation Understanding drug response dynamics in BRAF-mutated melanoma cells and currently am on a look out for any opportunities that lets me pursue interesting biological questions using tools from systems biology.
