NCPI researchers present papers at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association

A number of NCPI researchers presented papers at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association. Dan McCaffrey presented work on the systemic validity of a value-added assessment system. Dan McCaffrey (with John Pane) presented a paper that examined the impact of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita on schools and students in Louisiana. J.R. Lockwood and Dan McCaffrey were part of a symposium that addresses the conceptualization, implementation, and consequences of incorporation growth measures into test based accountability systems. Laura Hamilton and Brian Stecher presented several papers on NCLB and the reliability and validity of classroom assessment practices. Dale Ballou and Matthew Springer presented their work on achievement tradeoffs and No Child Left Behind.
