In 2005, Governor Rick Perry funded the Governor\u2019s Educator Excellence Award Program that has provided 100 schools with the opportunity to create performance incentive programs. In 2006, TEA selected NCPI to evaluate the governor\u2019s program. Over the next three years, the center will examine the program\u2019s impact on student achievement, teacher behavior, and teacher quality.
