Building Diversity in Psychology and Neuroscience Fellowship

Posted by on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Uncategorized.

In the summer of 2022, the Department of Psychology will be offering two 10-week summer research fellowships in psychological science or neuroscience.  These research fellows will work in the laboratory of a faculty member in the Department of Psychology.  The aim of these fellowships is to provide a full-time research experience to students who are interested in attending graduate school in psychology or neuroscience. These fellowships will provide a stipend of $5,500 to each student.

Only current Vanderbilt University students majoring in Psychology or Neuroscience in the College of Arts and Science are eligible. We seek candidates who are committed to contributing to the Department’s mission to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion in psychological science and neuroscience.

To apply for these fellowships, students must submit

  1. a completed application (click here to download)
  2. a curriculum vitae (academic resume)
  3. an unofficial transcript from Vanderbilt University including fall 2021 grades.

These documents should be sent by email to Dr. Ashleigh Maxcey, Chair of the Psychology EDI Committee, at ashleigh.m.maxcey@vanderbilt.edu, using the subject line “2022 Fellowship Application.” The deadline for applications is January 15, 2022.  Students will be notified of acceptances by February 15, 2022.
