About Me

I pursued my undergraduate degree from Shiv Nadar University in Uttar Pradesh, India, where I received a B.Tech in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Graduate coursework in graph theory I took with the mathematics department led to a keen interest in network theoretic models – which I apply to social/human networks.

While at SNU, I co-authored a paper on information flow equilibria conditions in real-world networks with Dr. Dolly Sharma. I also worked on applications of graph theory to archaeological data from the Archaeological Survey of India with Dr. Sudeepto Bhattacharya. My undergrad thesis dealt with an ensemble learning method for detecting sarcasm in tweets.

My interest in social networks leads to some very interesting thought experiments, that I dwell on over cups of coffee. If you see me pacing around the lab – marker in hand – expect a terribly drawn graph on the whiteboard, and my labmates giggling at me from behind. Refer to my research page for a more detailed overview of my current projects.
