In the lab, Adriana studies how auditory and visual motion information is integrated and represented across levels of processing in the macaque brain. (Speech and Hearing Science), 2017, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.<\/p>\n<p>Amy is a\u00a0second year Ph.D.\u00a0student in Vanderbilt\u2019s Neuroscience Graduate Program. Amy attended Vanderbilt University Medical School as an Au.D. student from 2017-2021, completed\u00a0her audiology clinical externship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center July 2020-July 2021, and graduated with her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) in May 2021. Amy is pursuing her Ph.D. with interests in the physiological mechanisms of auditory perception, how those mechanisms break down with hearing loss, the perceptual consequences of those breakdowns, and ways to improve diagnostics and (re)habilitation (e.g., hearing assistive technology, therapeutic recovery) of hearing problems. She plans to pursue a career in Audiology, whether that be research or in a clinical setting.
