A major goal of colorectal cancer (CRC) screening with colonoscopy is to minimize CRC incidence, and this is accomplished by identifying and completely resecting adenomas.1,2 In recent years, considerable attention has been focused on the adenoma detection rate (ADR) as a measure of the quality of colonoscopy.3 Higher ADRs are associated with lower rates of interval CRC,4 which are defined as CRC diagnosed after a prior colonoscopy but before the next scheduled screening or surveillance colonoscopy.
