Change. An old adage stipulates it is the one true constant in life, or, stated another way, “Change is inevitable-except from a vending machine” (Robert Gallagher). On behalf of our new Board of Editors, we are honored, humbled, and excited to oversee the next editorship team for Gastroenterology. The next iteration of Gastroenterology’s Board of Editors embraces change by developing a fresh model, founded upon creativity and collaboration, to steward the Journal over the next 5 years. This includes a new editorial structure for the Journal that integrates an Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief with complementary strengths with an extremely geographically and demographically diverse Board of Editors.
