White Spots in the Rectum

Question: A 35-year-old previously well woman underwent colonoscopy as part of a health checkup. She took liquid sodium phosphate solution for colon preparation. She noted no abdominal pain or bloody stool before or after taking the colon preparation. Physical examination was unremarkable. Laboratory examination on the day of colonoscopy revealed: hemoglobin, 16.3 g/dL (normal, 13.5–17.5); white blood cell count 8140/μL (normal, 3,500-11,000/μL), and platelet count, 225,000/μL (normal, 150,000–400,000/μL).
