The Case for a Multitarget Stool DNA Test: A Closer Look at the Cost Effectiveness Model

The recent analysis by Ladabaum and Mannalithara concluded that multitarget stool DNA test (MT-sDNA) was less cost-effective than other colorectal cancer (CRC) screening strategies.1 We commend the authors for tackling this important topic, but question the validity of their findings, mainly because the Markov model used is incomplete, and arguably, misleading.
