Multiple Openings in the Anterior Abdominal Wall Draining Pus for a Decade

Question: A 48-year-old man presented with persistent pus discharge from multiple openings in left inguinal region for the last 10 years (Figure A). He had undergone surgery (exploratory laparotomy) twice in the last 8 years with no relief. There was no history of abdominal trauma, abdominal pain, fever, jaundice, sexual contact, urethral discharge, or blood transfusion. On examination, he was well built with normal findings on systemic and abdominal examination. There was no hernia orĀ inguinal lymphadenopathy.
